1. What’s your strategy?
When you first think about creating a leaflet there must be a need or want that you would like it to achieve. Be clear in the message you are trying to get across within the text and images.
2. Think about your brand!
It’s okay spending the time on the creation of your leaflet but if the finished item doesn’t resemble your brand then what is the point in doing it in the first place? You want a potential customer to know who it’s from, the moment they start to read it. Using the correct colours and imagery will get the message across to the reader in the quickest way possible.
3. Snappy Headline!
Okay, so you have got the idea and now you need a title! What’s it going to be? When thinking of a punchy headline it needs to be just that! Needs to be catchy enough to grab their attention and keep their eyes on the leaflet and not elsewhere. Do your research! Be quirky and make it fun. If fun isn’t your thing then just, try to be quirky so you can stand out.

4. Give them an offer!
What is it you’re trying to promote? Entice them in and keep them there with excitement and temptation. Giving something away for FREE is always a good way to keep people engaged. When I say for FREE, I don’t mean give them enough that they won’t need to buy from you at all. Just give them a little flavour of what you are willing to do to have them as a customer. These can be freebies or even money off vouchers but whatever it is make sure it is enough to get them to pick up the phone or put a foot through your door because once they are there, you can make them stay with all the wonderful and quality services you can offer them.
5. Call to action!
What do you want them to do most with your leaflet? The one thing you don’t want is for them to screw it up and throw it away because they don’t know what you want them to do with it. Calls to action should be BIG – giving them direction on what they need to do next. This leads us into our final section!
6. Contact details!
How do you want them to engage with you next? Keep it visible and clear to give it a prominent feel to the page. Include Social Media icons and tags so your platforms can be found easily for the most effectiveness use of them.
